I am glad that fitness bug has caught me and inspires me to try out healthy and nutritious food. Here is my Homemade muesli & first ever prepared Overnight Muesli Jars- “The energy booster”. 🙂
4 cups of spelt flakes
2 cups of rolled oats,
1 cup bran flake
3 tablespoons seeds ( 1 Tbs flaxseeds, 1 Tbs sunflower seeds & 1 Tbs pumpkin seeds)
2 cups mixed dried fruits (such as chopped apricots or dates, golden raisins, bluberries, strawberries, peaches apples, goji berries, or a mixture)
1/2 cup nuts(almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans or mixed)chopped
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2.Mix the grain flakes, oats and bran on a baking sheet and spread the muesli on it
3.Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the grains look lightly toasted (but not browned) when you stir them with a spoon.
4.Transfer the toasted flakes to a plate and let cool to room temperature.
5.Dump the flakes in a large bowl , stir in the seeds, dried fruits & nuts
6.keep the muesli into an airtight container and store at room temperature.
7.Serve with milk and/or yogurt.
In my muesli jar, I used blueberry yogurt. One can use skimmed milk or plain yogurt as well.
– If you prefer raw muesli, just mix the grain flakes, oats, and bran in a large bowl and skip the oven part.
– if you want sweet muesli, Coat the grains mix with 2tbs of Honey before toast
– You can also use other seeds like Chia or sessame as well, depends upon your taste.
Enjoy & Happy Cooking 🙂

I love trying such fusions and today I didn’t follow any recipe at all. Happy with the outcome. Seriously guys It’s really yummy.
2 Cup Plain oats(Quaker)
1 TBS semolina
1/2 Cup sunflower seeds
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
1/2 cup beans
1/2 spring onion chopped
1/2 cup carrots( or any seasonal vegetables)
1/2 soya mince
4,5 pieces black olives chopped
1/4 ts turmeric powder
Salt, black pepper as per taste
1/4 ts Dry Dill, oregano and Thyme
1/2 cup water
1 tbs Oil
2 tbs sunflower seeds for top layer
Mix all the ingredients and blend it with the hand blender till it turns in to cake like batter, if it is thick add some more water to get the desired consistency
Not heat the pan(rounded bottom), add Oil and add sunflower seeds once the oil is hot, add the batter all together and cover it with a lid and cook in on low flame for around 10 minutes, once cooked from the bottom, flip it carefully and cook it from the other side on low flame. make sure that it is cooked properly, keep checking in between to make sure it is not burnt.
Once done, serve it with Tomato sauce, spicy yogurt or green mint chutney.
You can also cut it in to pieces and refrigerate for a day or two for evening snack.
Enjoy & happy cooking 🙂
