4 cups of spelt flakes
2 cups of rolled oats,
1 cup bran flake
3 tablespoons seeds ( 1 Tbs flaxseeds, 1 Tbs sunflower seeds & 1 Tbs pumpkin seeds)
2 cups mixed dried fruits (such as chopped apricots or dates, golden raisins, bluberries, strawberries, peaches apples, goji berries, or a mixture)
1/2 cup nuts(almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans or mixed)chopped
Method:
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2.Mix the grain flakes, oats and bran on a baking sheet and spread the muesli on it
3.Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the grains look lightly toasted (but not browned) when you stir them with a spoon.
4.Transfer the toasted flakes to a plate and let cool to room temperature.
5.Dump the flakes in a large bowl , stir in the seeds, dried fruits & nuts
6.keep the muesli into an airtight container and store at room temperature.
7.Serve with milk and/or yogurt.
In my muesli jar, I used blueberry yogurt. One can use skimmed milk or plain yogurt as well.
P.S.
– If you prefer raw muesli, just mix the grain flakes, oats, and bran in a large bowl and skip the oven part.
– if you want sweet muesli, Coat the grains mix with 2tbs of Honey before toast
– You can also use other seeds like Chia or sessame as well, depends upon your taste.
